Overview of Less Annoying CRM for Small Business

Popularly called LACRM, Less Annoying CRM was designed for small businesses and solopreneurs who want a simple interface and only the basic CRM features—and are willing to pay for just that.

When you log in, you’re greeted with a workspace that summarizes your database and provides a quick overview of your pipeline. It shows your most urgent business and personal to-dos, arranging tasks by due dates. There’s also a sidebar mini-calendar showing your daily events with exact times.

On Less Annoying CRM, you can add an unlimited number of contacts and manage all their information from a single page. It also offers unlimited pipelines, as well as lead management and task tracking functionalities.

And unlike many of its counterparts, the CRM software has only one pricing plan with no hidden costs, gated features, or add-ons.

However, this simplicity comes with trade-offs. Less Annoying CRM lacks more advanced features that may be useful for growing businesses, such as workflow automation or omnichannel communications.

The CRM also doesn’t offer full email sync. You can keep a record of emails, but you cannot send them directly from inside the CRM.

For businesses that need just the basics and want to avoid complexity, this might be exactly what you’re looking for. But if you’re planning to scale or need more sophisticated features, you might find it limiting.

Let’s take a closer look at this CRM’s key features.

Contact Management

Add an unlimited number of contacts to Less Annoying CRM, and organize them in a list in the Contact tab.

Click on a contact to manage their personal and company info, add tasks to them, schedule events, share documents, attach sales opportunities (leads), and keep a record of all interactions and email correspondence—all on one page.

Task Management

With just a few clicks, you can create tasks or events, assign them to a member of your team, and set their due dates.

You can view and manage these activities via:

  • LACRM’s Calendar tab
  • Your Google Calendar (if synced to your CRM).
  • Your workspace.
  • Daily email reminders.

That being said, Less Annoying CRM doesn’t have a follow-up tracking functionality, which is one of the criteria we use for grading all small business CRMs.

Pipeline Management

In Less Annoying CRM, you can create as many pipelines as you want. Add leads to a pipeline, and they’ll be organized on one page, with their stages visible.

less annoying crm pipeline

However, unlike some of the best CRM software for small businesses, the layout of said page isn’t a Kanban. Instead of dragging and dropping leads between stages, you’ll have to click through to update their progress, and that slows you down.

The page for pipelines is not the easiest or quickest to open. It’s buried in the ‘reports’ tab, instead of being boldly displayed amongst the tabs in the CRM’s main menu.

This can mean that the CRM software doesn’t put a lot of focus on pipeline management.

Lead Management

In Less Annoying CRM, you can add new leads from the ‘Add new records’ module on the navigation menu or via a contact or company page.

Clicking on a lead opens up the side panel for lead management. You can add tasks, create notes, change the associated contact, or update the lead status. You can also delete the lead or view a history of all your interactions with it.

‘Leads’ in Less Annoying CRM are the equivalent of ‘Deals’ in most other CRMs.

Email Sync

LACRM does not have 2-way email sync. It only partially connects with your email provider. While you cannot send emails directly from the CRM, you can log emails to and from contacts in your CRM.

Less Annoying CRM offers both manual and automatic email logging.

For the former, you’ll have to BCC or forward emails to a unique address provided by LACRM. For the latter, after connecting to your email provider’s server, emails to and from your CRM contacts will be automatically logged.

Collaboration

LACRM allows you to add your team members to the tool and collaborate through shared pipelines, contacts, and notes. You can also delegate contacts, tasks, and events to specific team members.

Moreover, to keep collaborations organized and secure, this small business CRM features user permissions, so you can control which members of your team can access certain pieces of CRM data.

However, the collaboration feature has one pitfall. You can’t ‘@’ other users when you’re attaching a note to a contact.

Duplicate Management

This CRM software lets you find duplicate contacts via matching phone numbers and or email addresses. Once identified, you can merge their contact data and history into one record.

If you’re merging two duplicate contacts with conflicting information (say, the names are different), you’ll be prompted to select which info to keep.

Centralized Workspace

The Workspace tab contains a quick overview of your pipeline and shows all activities carried out on the CRM. It also shows your most urgent (overdue and for the day) business and personal to-dos, and arranges the tasks according to their due dates.

There’s also a sidebar — a mini calendar of sorts — that displays your events for the day, and the exact time they take place.

Dashboard and Reporting

The dashboard and reporting features are on the “Reports” tab in the main navigation menu.

Less Annoying CRM allows you to create reports based on your pipelines, tasks, and CRM activities. You can customize the reports using various sorting and filtering options available on the tool.

However, you can’t save reports inside the CRM. You can only download as a PDF or export as a spreadsheet.

The dashboards LACRM provides are very basic. It only shows the total number of leads in the “Prospect” and “Qualified Lead” stages.

less annoying crm dashboard

While LACRM might be aiming for simplicity, its dashboards are still below par, even for a simple one.

Automations

There are no native workflow automations available on Less Annoying CRM. The CRM also has no functionality for sending out email sequences. Likewise, it doesn’t feature any browser extensions for capturing leads automatically.

That being said, LACRM does have a form builder tool. Head to Settings → Feature settings → Form builder and create a form. If a contact fills it out, their info will be automatically added to your CRM.

Integrations

Less Annoying CRM offers very limited integration options. There are only 27 business apps on the marketplace for you to integrate with.

The silver lining is that Zapier is one of those tools, and by integrating with it, you connect with 5,000 other business apps to Less Annoying CRM.

Mobile App

While you can access Less Annoying CRM on your mobile device in your mobile browser, the CRM has no dedicated mobile app.

This could be a significant limitation for sales teams that need to access and update information while on the go.

Ease of Use

Less Annoying CRM’s creators built this tool for users who have little to no experience with CRM platforms, and those who don’t need many features.

That’s why the software features a minimalist design with a color scheme that’s easy on the eyes, and a visible text layout that makes it easier for you to see what you’re working with.

It’s also why it has only 4 main tabs in the menu, all of which are neatly organized on the left side of the screen. And when you hover over any of them, you get a quick overview of what’s in it without opening it.

By housing only the basic features a small business needs, LACRM reduces the learning curve as much as possible.

This may be why it has more than 600 5-star reviews (on G2), most of which are from users who mention how easy the software is to learn, set up, and use.

Customer Support

Less Annoying CRM boasts a world-class customer support that doesn’t include any chatbots or AI call centers.

When you need help, you’ll be attended to by a real person. More specifically, a coach who has 5+ years of experience with the product. They offer support to you via emails, phone calls, and contact forms.

Phone support is only available from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm (CST) on weekdays. If you need help on weekends, email support is the only option.

Nevertheless, LACRM’s human-centered approach to support means you’ll get personalized help from people who truly understand the product.

Less Annoying CRM Pricing Structure

Less Annoying CRM may have one of the simplest pricing structures in the CRM market.

There’s just one pricing plan, and that’s all you’ll ever have to pay for. There are no gated features, hidden costs, or upgrades/add-ons to purchase.

How Much Does Less Annoying CRM Cost?

Less Annoying CRM costs $15 per user/month + tax.

Although there’s no free plan, they do have a 30-day free trial. You can also opt for their live demo to test out the tool and see if it’s the right fit for you before signing up.

Small business CRMs often update their prices. For the most up-to-date pricing information for Less Annoying CRM, please visit their pricing page.

Is Less Annoying CRM Pricing Affordable for Small Businesses?

At $15 per user/month, Less Annoying CRM sits right in the middle of the ideal $10-20 per user/month range for small businesses.

The pricing is transparent, so you know exactly what you’re paying for, with no surprise costs or pressure to upgrade for essential features. And unlike other CRMs that start cheap but quickly become expensive when you need more features, LACRM gives you everything it has for one price.

However, the lack of features like automation, 2-way email sync, and telephony means you might need to pay for additional third-party tools to fill the gaps. This takes away from LACRM being an affordable CRM for small businesses.

Moreover, since there’s no upper plan with more robust features for growing businesses, you may have to switch to another CRM entirely when your needs become more complex.

Final Verdict: Is Less Annoying CRM the Best CRM for Small Businesses?

Less Annoying CRM delivers exactly what it promises: a less annoying CRM experience through basic features, excellent customer support, and transparent pricing.

However, Less Annoying CRM falls short for businesses that need more than the basics. The lack of automation, inability to send emails directly from the CRM, missing mobile app, and limited integrations could become significant roadblocks as your business grows.

The pipeline management being buried in the reports tab also suggests this CRM isn’t ideal for heavily sales-focused teams who live in their pipeline view.

According to our criteria (Value, Impact, and Speed), Less Annoying CRM’s fit for small businesses is Moderate.
